This blog began long ago as a journey to understand myself… to celebrate and remember these little wonders. I search to find and be defined by my clarity.

Within the first few months of its birth, this blog morphed into a platform through which I could share and remember my journey with Team In Training through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It marked my successes and milestones. It chronicled injuries and frustrations. I shared my progress with training for the triathlon as well as my fundraising. I shared others’ stories and advocated awareness, service, and action (be it through research, donation, or other means).

When my Team In Training experience came to an end, the blog went on hiatus. I didn’t know what to write about anymore. There are occasional entries, but they became fewer and farther in between. I have tried to continue to advocate here on my blog. I am passionate about many causes and sometimes that shows here on the blog. I do not advocate with words constantly, but I pray that my words and actions serve as evidence in my life.

Most recently, this blog has morphed into a photo blog. I have always loved photography and with my new camera and new lens, I really feel like I’m growing and learning. I love sharing my daily journey and truly believe that a picture is worth a thousand words. As such, my words are more scarce these days. Often, “I quote others in order to better express myself” (de Montaigne).

Continue the journey with me. Read. Subscribe. Comment (I read all of them and always respond… usually by email). Link. I’d love to share this journey we call life with you.

  2. Thank you for honoring Court in such an incredible way. I know that she will be with you every step of the way during your journey. I will check often to see how you are doing and if you don’t mind, I would like to mention your site on Court’s page. I also wanted to tell you – you might already know – that last week the US Senate passed a resolution naming September 13, 2008 – Childhood Cancer Awareness Day! What an awesome way to spend that day!!

Wishing you the best of luck and knowing that Court will be with you every step of the way on this incredible journey. I look forward to hearing your progress and would love to mention this and your fundraising page on Court’s website if that is okay!
