My friend is playing Peter Pan in the Arden Theatre Company’s production of Peter Pan through January 24th. If you’re in Philadelphia, you should go. It looks amazing! I wish I could go to Neverland.

Cooking with the Chef Boss

For my boss’ birthday, we celebrated with a delicious, freshly prepared meal. She loves Paris and so we gave her a French-themed luncheon complete with ratatouille, beef bourguignon stew, spinach salad (with candied walnuts, red anjou pears, and gorgonzola cheese), and almond torte. Oh! Don’t forget the (not so French) Turkish baklava. YUM. Throw in some virgin mimosas and call it perfection. We had a blast cooking with our other boss who went to culinary school.

I spent some time on the beach this weekend, in prayer, with old and new friends. It was truly revealing.

We hope you like the flowers we chose Grandpa. Happy Veteran’s Day… and Happy Thanksgiving too!

I went with my grandma and aunt today to take flowers to my grandpa. My grandma hadn’t had the opportunity to come visit since last year. She knelt down and prayed with and for her husband of nearly 57 years. We also stopped by her mother & stepfather and aunt & uncle. It was a beautiful day in Point Loma.

 

Rest in Peace Mikey.

I’m so glad I knew you, but wish I’d had the time to know you better. Watch over us. I know you will guard your little girls with angel’s wings. You are most certainly gone to soon and it devastates me that the last time I saw you was at Paul’s service less than six months ago. Tell him hi for us… and our other Buena Bulldogs too. I can’t believe that exactly a year after we said goodbye to JD, you went to join him. I’m so sorry I won’t be able to make the service on Saturday, but I’ll be there in thought, spirit, and prayer with the rest of my family. They really loved getting to see you so much this summer.
