To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. ~Clara Ortega
At the reception after my great uncle’s funeral earlier this week, I asked my grandma and her brother if I could please take a picture of them… this was a couple frames before the posed, smile-for-the-camera shot. I love this moment of laughter and love between brother and sister. I’m rather certain their other brother was looking over them. I have also cross-posted this entry at my brand new photography blog (which is also linked in the sidebar).
